Often they say to me, Oh I wish I could still play the violin but it’s too late for me. Why aren’t they curious about that? Not about why they quit but why they think it’s too late for them to learn." It's almost never too late - at least that's what my 95 year old dad used to say!
Yes! When I started playing instruments again (in my 40s), I loved how MECHANICAL they were--you can see everything working. Unlike electronics. Great blog post!
